This year marks the 24th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. To honor those who served so gallantly, Muslim Americans for Compassion (MAC) shows our respect each year for the first responders who serve our hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, by arranging for their lunch on September 11. The lunches were provided to members of the Louisville Metro Fire Department, the Louisville Metro Police Department, Metro Safe/EMS, and area hospital emergency rooms
The 9/11 lunch delivery is an annual tradition for MAC – an activity which demonstrates the sacredness of all human life regardless of creed, culture, race, gender, sexuality, and all other circumstances.
Louisville Metro Emergency Services recognized MAC’s annual service to first responders on its Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CThmKYdMs
Mayor Craig Greenburg also recognized MAC’s efforts on fb: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FXDmbJdxs/
A special thank you must go to Sohail Zuberi, Drew Dempsey, Josh Lee and staff of Subway restaurant in Holiday Manor, for preparing the hundreds of lunches for this year’s effort.
This year’s efforts wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors. This year, we had five total sponsors who contributed to this lunch drive. They are:
Platinum Sponsors – Norton Healthcare.
Gold Sponsors – The Republic Bank Foundation and Molina Healthcare
Silver Sponsors – Signature HealthCare and Old National Bank
