Dr. Muhammad Babar, Founder of Muslim American for Compassion and President, Kentuckiana Geriatric and Palliative Services participated in an interfaith prayer during the annual luncheon of Louisville Urban League on Dec 6, 2019, and also made a donation of $5,000 for the Norton Sports Health Athletics & Learning Complex. Dr. Babar believes that redlining and other discriminatory practices have unequivocally affected West Louisville for the worse, and it is our collective duty to uplift the community out of this man-made vicious cycle of poverty.

Norton Sports Health Athletics & Learning Complex is a new 24-acre sports complex in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood. The complex will have indoor/outdoor track & field space with seating for 4,000. There will also be a learning lab, entertainment space with a bowling alley and an interactive rock-climbing wall, community green space, and outdoor event space. Norton Sports Health Athletics & Learning Complex will positively influence children and their families through sports and learning.

A donation of $5,000 can purchase a seat that will go in the health athletics & learning complex and feature the donor’s name or someone they wish to honor. Families and friends may also pool money to one seat. MAC will strongly urge local businesses to support the sports complex by buying a seat by clicking on the following link:
