Muslim Americans for Compassion (MAC) and Louisville Islamic Center for Compassion (LICC) continued their support for Henryville Elementary School, Henryville, Indiana and delivered supplies on December 15th, 2023.
Henryville Elementary School was devastated by a deadly tornado in March 2012. Volunteers from Kentucky and Indiana Muslim communities actively participated for cleanup efforts (pictures above) for the resilient community of Henryville, IN.
For the last eleven years, Dr. Naveed Chowhan (MAC board member) has spearheaded an annual volunteer effort for the students at Henryville Elementary School who need assistance. Attached are some of the pictures of MAC volunteers with school staff delivering the supplies every year.
