Muslim Americans for Compassion (MAC) was very proud to host the 15th Annual Interfaith Iftar Dinner on the evening of March 6th, 2025.

As usual, the Second Presbyterian Church on Old Brownsboro Road provided a wonderful location for hundreds of people, of all walks of life and faith backgrounds, to gather and break their fast together. Each year during the holy month of Ramadan, the Interfaith Iftar Dinner provides a unique spiritual communion.

This year’s speakers included Governor Andy Beshear, MAC President Muhammad Babar, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg and DeVone Holt, President & CEO, Muhammad Ali Center. The Master of Ceremonies was Shiza Rana, an exemplary MAC volunteer and KCD Student.

The focus of this year’s event was “Seeking Refuge in this Conflicted World”. The speakers delivered uplifting messages for unity, empathy towards others and interfaith harmony.

This year’s awards recipients were Sharon Kutz-Mellem and Dr. Bill Holmes for their relentless service work in the community.

The evening ended with a call to the prayer followed by diner where everyone had the meal together.

This year’s Iftar dinner was a congregation of ideas by people who desire to make this world a better place. We’re proud to use the conversations made here to move toward a brighter future.
