This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. To honor those who served so gallantly, Muslim Americans for Compassion (MAC) shows our respect each year for the first responders who serve our hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, by arranging for their lunch on September 11. Almost 1,000 lunches were provided to members of the Louisville Metro Fire Department, the Louisville Metro Police Department, Metro Correction, and MetroSafe/EMS.
The 9/11 lunch delivery is an annual tradition for MAC – an activity which demonstrates the sacredness of all human life regardless of creed, culture, race, gender, sexuality and all other circumstances.

A special thank you must go to Sohail Zuberi, owner of the Subway restaurant in Holiday Manor, and his team for preparing the hundreds of lunches for this year’s effort. Thank you as well to our first responders who risk their lives every day to ensure our safety.
