On January 14th, 2022, MAC volunteers traveled to Dawson Springs. We were truly inspired by the resilience of Kentuckians in Western Kentucky. Folks are already in the rebuilding phase with most debris collected and gathered on the roadside for pickup.
We visited Dawson Springs High School for need assessment and also to drop supplies including winter jackets for the students. They did not need any essential supplies like shampoos, tooth pastes, blankets with no room to store. Many students and faculty members are affected by the tornado with their homes either completely or partially damaged.
It will take years for the community in WKY to recuperate from the effects of these historic tornadoes. God Willing, we all will continue to pitch in our humble share to support fellow Kentuckians.
