MAC volunteers visited our Afghan refugee family on November 16, 2023, with winter supplies such as jackets and clothes, along with holiday gifts and school supplies for the children. It was great to see the family thriving and becoming productive citizens in the city of Louisville, Kentucky.
MAC, in association with the Kentucky Refugee Ministry (KRM), originally welcomed this family on July 07, 2022, at Muhammad Ali Airport in Louisville. MAC assisted KRM staff with setting up their apartment and getting basic supplies.
MAC has sponsored and welcomed refugee families in the past, helping them get settled and working with organization like KRM to connect these families with much needed resources.
