Muslim Americans for Compassion (MAC) and the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) continued their fruitful collaboration in April as Ramadan began. Volunteers delivered donations to the Islamic Center of Louisville (ICL) at 1715 S, 4th street, Louisville, KY, 40208. These donations were then delivered to local refugees and Muslims in need during the month of Ramadan.
MAC is proud to partner with APPNA, a 501(c)(3) organization which represents more than 15,000 physicians and health care professionals of Pakistani descent serving across North America.
APPNA aims to foster scientific development and education in the field of medicine, assist newly arriving Pakistani physicians in orientation and adjustment, institute ways and means to cooperate with other North American medical organizations, encourage medical education and delivery of better health care in Pakistan, participate in medical relief and other charitable activities, and educate decision makers in problems which confronting the medical community in general and Pakistani-American physicians in particular.
