Muslims Americans for Compassion delivered lunch to the frontline employees of Dare to Care, a non-profit organization with the mission “To lead our community to feed the hungry and conquer the cycle of need.”
The seeds of Dare to Care were planted by a tragedy. On Thanksgiving Eve in 1969, nine-year-old Bobby Ellis died of malnutrition in his Louisville home. Our stunned Kentuckiana community took action and created Dare to Care Food Bank, to ensure that no one in our community lacks enough food to live an active, healthy life. MAC salutes the frontline workers of Dare to Care for their mission to help others, especially during this pandemic.
As a non-profit organization, Muslims Americans for Compassion is dedicated to engage the community through interfaith, civic and environmental initiatives. It’s goals are community outreach with supporting volunteer activities and to address social & civic concerns in communities that are under-served, trying to utilize the resources efficiently to achieve the most positive effect.
