The 8th annual Iftar dinner was the Louisville event to attend June 5th. With nearly 600 people attending to celebrate the month of Ramadan, we had speakers from multiple religions and backgrounds:

• Heeba Nazeer, the Master of Ceremonies who works with the MAC organization
• Reverend Steve Jester, the Pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church where the event was held
• Our very own Doctor Muhammad Babar and The Honorable Greg Fischer, the Mayor of Louisville
• Rabbi Diane Tracht, who spoke on behalf of the Jewish Faith
• Roha Ali, who spoke on behalf of the Islamic Faith
• Tyson Richards, who spoke on behalf of the Christian Faith
• Haleh Karimi, the amazing lady who put the event together
• Imam Wasif Iqbal, the man who gave the evening prayer and broke the month long fast
This event was the largest Iftar in Louisville to date with the first being attended by only 30 people. Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s event and we hope to see you at other IPP and MAC events!
A big thank you to the Second Presbyterian Church who allowed Interfaith Paths to Peace and Muslim Americans for Compassion to hold this event in their beautiful church.
